The “change” and “yes we can” slogans have echoed deep within the hearts of many “Obama-fans” because it means that a single man —a well spoken, 47 years old, black husband and father of two and husband— could actually lead a great nation towards better times.

This message, though, obfuscates the fact that whatever changes are to come, they’ll fit with Obama’s agenda first and the American public next, if it’s even considered, at all.

You see, Obama has voted consistently to wage illegal wars against Irak, Aghanistan, terror and in the process, he’s also been a vibrant promoter for the deeply controversial Patriot Act which strips away all Constitutional Rights to any American citizen who happens to be suspected of “something” by any level of “authority” — the Marshall Law and police state are two concepts that fit perfectly with Obama’s vision of a “perfect” world so even though uninformed voters have bought into the Obama hype, other people are waking up to the fact that “change”, in Obama’s hands, could mean more wars, more laws, more restrictions and basically more heandaches for the honest citizens.

Obama is Wall Street’s favorite — nobody’s questionning that.

In turn, Wall Street has shown to be the epicenter of financial decadence taken to unprescedented heights with wild derivative schemes, completely irresponsible money management practices and ongoing fiscal manœuvering to hide astronomical sums of money in foreign tax havens.

Obama, with his many vague promises for “change” coupled with Wall Street, proud of its proven track record for savagely raping the American economy while laughing in everybody else’s face, could become the nightmarish “team” nobody really hoped for.

If Obama has an idea, that’s nice but if the American public also have an idea and it happens to be different, it should prevail because… it comes from the people!

Simple, right?

Wrong.

It’s unlikely to happen because Obama knows better than to mess with Wall Street’s bankers who control, among other things, the Federal Reserve —a 100% private company— which, in turn, controls the Presidency in a variety of ways, namely the monetary policies which affect EVERYTHING related to money!

So Barack isn’t rural America’s friend.

He isn’t the urban taxpayers’ friend, either.

In fact, he’s the ultimate covert hitman who will obey his masters’ every wish, at the drop of a dime. His predecessors at the White House have started a vicious war against the middle class, free speech and civil liberties and he’s likely been hired to continue down that exact path.

And Obama will mimick Third Reich tactics to gain control over all aspects of the life of his flock of economic slaves, pushing a heavy rock up a never-ending slope, thanks to debt traps, strategic social inequities and the heavy veil of secrecy on everything flavor of information bearing any “true value”.

Yes, the war is on against… the American people!

And it opposes a vicious elite seeking complete control at all costs against the average folks, many of them too deep in the current “social control matrix” to even comprehend what’s going on.

So, why is there a war against common American citizens, in the first place?

Because the “commoners” are still too rich, free and openly opinionated — according to the elite, still sleazing their way up and down Wall Street, creating nothing and abusing anything they touch. America’s middle class “wealth” represents a threat to their current (and future) hegemony. A very small threat indeed but still, too much of a risk for them to take.

So they sent in Obama with a clever disguise: the “change” horse and pony show.

Anything Obama does from this point on will, one way or another, be along the lines of unilateral decisions (seemingly) taken by him and imposed on everyone else but expect that he’ll sugarcoat every single one of his actions will lots of “change is good” superlatives, to further convert those who have stopped applying their own version of common sense to issues where their “messiah from Illinois” appears to have all the answers.

People need to figure this one out (by themselves) before it gets even uglier.

Mind control.

Population control.

It’s all about total CONTROL over everyone… and everything.

The more the average “middle class” Americans buy into “Obama’s dream”, the faster and the deeper they’ll fall into a trap they may never be able to pull themselves out — unless they decide to resort to something radical and unwanted like a civil war against the bankers and their “friends” who have made life such a pointless pursuit for so many with an endless string of wars, lies, deception and profound inequalities that have apparently taken over peace, truth, innocence and a general sense of “good”.

Meanwhile, whatever happened to the will of the people?

How about a slogan like “what we want” instead of Obama’s favorite “yes we can”? Wouldn’t that be closer to the TRUE WILL OF THE PEOPLE who build America with their sweat, tears and blood, on a daily basis?

People in America and elsewhere, around the world, are yearning for “something more”, a common dream of collectively working for everybody’s good instead of unilaterally feeding the rich while getting poorer and poorer, in the process.

Can this vision of a better world ever rise to the point that it can crush the elite’s plan for world domination?

If naive people continue to believe in “a leader” before they believe in themselves, it’s highly unlikely.

However, if more people wake up and break free from the propaganda-injected “big media” information stream to start thinking for themselves instead of buying into the “mainstream lies”, they’ll start asking for what they want instead of accepting a President’s agenda… just because he happens to be “the man in the Oval Office” which, in the end, shouldn’t mean that much since the job should be about obeying the will of the people and not the will of some shady elite.

Keep in mind that Obama doesn’t want you to “think”, he just wants you to chant “yes we can” in some crowded stadium while he basically robs you blind.

So do yourself a favor: think for yourself.

And reclaim your human dignity by demanding “what YOU want”, starting now.

So why am I bringing these elements up, today?

Because some idiots that work in politics, in morally challenged companies and even in self-proclaimed environmental groups want to —tax— carbon dioxyde!

That’s right.

Moronic individuals (with way too much power) want to -tax- the air that ALL carbon-based lifeforms on Earth breathe — the same carbon dioxyde all plants need (so badly) to exist — these profoundly deranged individuals are working hard, lobbying and playing dirty tricks behind the scenes to tax one of the four basic elements that serves as the basis of all life on this planet.

You’d be writing a science fiction story and such a scenario would seem far fetched but a complete sellout to globalists like the Canadian Liberal leader, Stephane Dion, is at the forefront of a “carbon tax” proposal. He’s fighting tooth and nails to convince Canadians (and the world) that his tax will improve life, on Earth. He’s completely wrong on all fronts but don’t tell him that, he’ll label you as a polluter!

This is the kind of twisted logic people like Stephane Dion try to impose on others.

Around the world, people like Stephane Dion are saying that all flavors of carbon taxes are good but they’re actually attempting to impose a completely unacceptable (and unthinkable) tax on the air every carbon-based lifeform exhales!

Being so stupid doesn’t seem to stop these jokers because they talk like their idea makes sense — even though the idea, the context behind the idea and the outcomes of the idea all lead to a global catastrophe.

What Stephane Dion and their like will never tell you is that the real source of pollution comes from (largely man made or man handled) toxic chemicals like benzene, xylene, fluoride or chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) that deplete the ozone layer (for real).

No, these clowns will never tell you the “real truth”.

They don’t respect you.

They see you as a herd of sheep with no intelligence, no common sense reasonning and above all, with no voice to counter their nonsense.

Well, thanks to the internet, we do have a voice.

And we do have our fact straight and apply rigourous common sense to our actions.

Furthermore, we’ll never turn into the sheep they want us to be and leave out intelligence at the door.

Stephane Dion and other carbon tax-pushing morons of all origins need to understand that all the free people who inhabit this wonderful planet will -NEVER- for their tax to be implemented, in full or in part, because it would be the single most backward step ever taken by humanity.

The effects of such a tax, milking boatloads of money on the back of life itself, would be nothing short of catastrophic. Life cannot occur without carbon dioxyde so taxing —in any way— would go against the basis laws that govern our universe.

For even bringing the idea of a carbon tax to Canada, Stephane Dion deserves to be destituted from his political position and tried by the people for his intent to commit one of the most horrible crimes against, more than just humanity, but life itself. This is very serious.

How would you feel if a politician taxed water, sunlight or oxygen?

Such a politician would probably be hanged high, in a town square, for attempting to destroy the very DNA of all known life.

Well, Stephan Dion is attacking carbon dioxyde, the 4th element.

He’s trying to demonize CO2 — of all things!

How utterly dumb…

No Canadian (or world citizen) can accept that.

Stand up and defend your inalienable right to exhale (and breathe… and exist)!

Don’t let ill intended people or groups convince you of the usefulness of insulting Mother Nature in such a preposterous way.

This could be your chance to offer them to help on one of their upcoming projects, thus helping your company score significant new business.

If you can make these companies look good at the next shareholder meeting, it’s obvious that they want to hear from you so package your message so that’s what they end up hearing.

If the hat fits, use this list wisely to grow your business alongside these global heavyweights that typically have deep pockets but also an obligation to continuously keep up with competitors. This race towards more innovation and novel methods represents, among other things, your chance to become “interesting” for at least some of these Fortune 100 companies.

The “revenue” and “profit” numbers accompanying each of the Fortune 500 listees tell a story bean counters love because in their view, numbers alone make or break companies, business models and entire industries. Of course, each company being presented in this prestigious list has its own story, way beyond the numbers that are often overly glorified as being the ultimate “scorecard” for companies.

For instance, some companies made less profit but invested more in their employees’ pension funds while others, with larger profits, have closed down factories in their home country, putting (decently paid) hard working individuals out of work, to finance the opening a sweatshop-factory in a some foreign country where salaries are a joke and the military run the show.

So even though we’re going to take a look at the numbers from pharmaceutical companies, keep in mind that each one of them has a story that you may want to look up, in order to better understand “the big picture”.

The title states that the pharmaceuticals are rich and that’s a known fact — let’s look at the numbers:

As you can see, the profits generated by these pharmaceutical companies is nothing short of astronomical and with the help of the FDA, making it easier than ever to patent and market drugs of all sorts, the money making “drug machine” seems set for many more “good years”.

We’re talking about big name lenders who lost big on very shaky loans to individuals who were so tight in their budget (assuming they held one) that they got caught up in way too much debt, the instant the American economy hit a speed bump (in this case, most notably, a raise in the interest rates).

So here’s the top 5 list of (the estimated) write-downs on structured products, which include collateralized debt and loan obligations as well as asset and mortgage-backed securities (although leveraged loans aren’t included):

1. Citigroup • 9,8B$ — It’s a low estimate since Citigroup has stated that the figure could rise another 3B$ higher;
2. Merrill Lynch • 7,9B$ — Analysts are projecting for another 2B$ in write-downs, this quarter;
3. UBS • 4,4B$ — They still have roughly 40B$ in CDOs and mortgage-backed securities on their books;
4. Morgan Stanley • 3,7B$ — The total subprime exposure after write-downs could reach 6B$;
5. Wachovia • 1,0B$ — Was one of the year’s top subprime mortgage CDO issuers, this year.

Further down the list, you can find (in order) Credit Suisse, Lehman Brothers, Bank of America, BearStearns and J.P. Morgan Chase.

Some analysts say greed alone made the subprime market grow, derail and later, explode. While this might be true, at least in part, the subprime debacle is basically all about risk and reward trumping fundamental values that just went flying out the window when the easy money mirage swept Wall Street off its feet.

Probably the biggest tragedy in the subprime fiasco is the fact that the mainstream media has offered very little coverage of the millions upon millions of families and individuals who lost their homes and their trust in “the money system”.

Even if the write-downs are huge for the banks, the real drama happens at street level, with ordinary American citizens just trying to build up their dream, usually through a nice house where they could raise their family.

The subprime mess is a grim reminder of the importance of placing true value on top of any purchase decision’s criterias, especially when “losing everything” isn’t an option.

The revenue streams for these sports franchises are numerous, such as ticket sales, stadium amenities (memorabilia stores, food sales, parking and such), branded merchandise and royalties (namely TV and radio).

Since so many sports franchises have been going on strong for decades, their market value is rocketing to new heights — here’s a short rundown of today’s most valuable pro sports franchises, in the world:

• Manchester United – An American, named Malcom Glazer, bought the famous European soccer team for a whopping 1.45 billion dollars, in 2005.
• Chicago Cubs – They could sell for 1 billion dollars, allegedly to real estate king Sam Zell. Considering the Tribune Co. bought it for 21 million dollars, back in 1981, it’s a -very- good selling price.
• Washington Redskins – In 1999, Dan Snyder (and his 800 million dollars) steped in when ex-owner Jack Kent Cooke died.
• Boston Red Sox – There was a nasty bidding war, back in 2002 and John Henry won it for 700 million dollars, which turned out to be an awesome deal since the baseball club won the World Series two short years after that.
• Cleveland Browns – For a mere 530 million dollars, Al Lerner bought the football club as an “expansion team”, in 1998.

None of those pro sports team owners are complaining about their bottom line since those franchises are so profitable.

It always brings a smile to my face when I see so much money being dealt for games where adults are paid to run after balls in front of crowds.

Now, having seen these numbers -and- keeping an eye on things to come, your bet is as good as mine as to which teams will turn out to be the next financial home runs, touchdowns and flying kick goals.

Whoever figures that out could reap billions of dollars along the way.

Online ticket purchases, personalized customer service and fidelity privileges are some of the most popular, and useful, features that airlines can offer to their clients.

Of course, all this finely orchestrated technological cloud can have a profoundly disturbing effect on the airplane flights themselves, in the event it fails —which it shouldn’t, in theory.

This past June (2007), United Airlines canceled or delayed 300 of its trips when their flight operations computer system went down. The airline was initially baffled as to the cause but according to the Chicago Sun-Times, it was revealed that an employee made an error during a routine system testing. Oups!

So that’s how any computer “expert” can ground 300 airplanes with one -wrong- click… or keystroke.

This is yet another reminder that IT is everywhere in our largely wired world and when one computer system goes down, whatever the reason, a lot of “real world” consequences can impact people’s lives.

8. Enjoy regular sex, even up to the venerable age of 99 ; )
9. Live in extended families since they offer cradle to grave security;
10. Seldom drink, smoke or otherwise poison yourself;
11. Live at high altitudes where there is little air pollution;
12. Respect your elders, especially those who lead busy active lives well into their 90′s;
13. Emphasize good relationships over the pursuit of wealth or success.

Take a few moments to reflect on these wise words.

Succeeding in business will may only bring you short lived joyful moments if the price to pay for such mercantile rewards is a miserable, short span life.

Look for balance in everything you venture into and you’ll see, doors will open more easily when you need them to.

Even if it seems improbable, you need to make time for yourself in order to allow yourself to have time to think and hopefully, to listen to your inner-voice. Running around all day might pay the bills but you need to make sure you’re getting something more than a paycheck out of whatever you’re paid for or you risk losing your drive for it.

You need to reflect on your ability to manage your life and that includes your agenda.

The more money you make, the more you can delegate. For instance, with more disposable income, you may buy your daily gourmet meals from a caterer, have your house cleaned for you, every week, have a handyman take care of your property and so on. The catch, of course, is that to make more money, in the first place, you either need to work more yourself or think up ways to work more intelligently.

It’s all about thinking outside the box or said differently, to do something so unique, useful and sought for that you’ll be able to monetize your offering more often for more money and in most cases, to more people.

For instance, a good accountant might leave his firm to launch his own, perhaps alone, at first. Over time, he can specialize in whatever he -really likes- instead of what his bosses expect he’ll be best used for. Taking charge of one’s own life is a major shift from taking orders to taking charge. Some people are born to be in driver’s seat and they’re the ones who succeed the most brilliantly when switching to the entrepreneurial path.

Doing your own thing might require that you invest much more time in your work, including long hours after the kids are put to sleep but since you’re likely doing something you like, you’ll surely feel good about it… and get encouraging results faster.

Many people launching their own little venture quickly see how much more family time they can yield from shaping their own agenda, instead of having to be “out of the family loop” from 9-to-5, every business day. Imagine how privileged and fulfilled one may feel from seeing his or her kids grow up. Nowadays, busy commuter lifestyles means parents leave their kids to strangers for up to 10 hours, every business day, while they satisfy their bank account. Perhaps there exists a way to still make ends meet while being there for the people you love the most. Self-employed workers may appear to have a better shot at the successful family building game but arguably, this is a major consideration for every worker. In doubt, turn to your inner-voice for advice. You’ll know if you’re doing the right thing. It’ll just feel right.

If you’re concerned about the environment, teleworking will instantly lower your car trips to an absolute minimum, compared the gas-guzzling daily, back and forth, between an employer’s office and your home. Working out of your home also provides you with added tax credits which can help you cut up to 25% of your annual home ownership costs. In my view, this is a direct and very efficient environment-friendly measure.

Of course, you can still be happy when working for someone. It’s all about life balance, self-realization and a sense of purpose. The good thing is that when you figure it out for yourself, you’ll know when you’ve taken the right road to a happy life because, wether you repress your feelings or not, all the other life changing decisions that won’t be fit for you will just never feel o.k. so never fail to follow your inner-voice, it’s probably your safest bet in a world where so many people want so many different things.
